The Shepherd’s Guide Of Greater Kansas City Christian Yellow Pages Review
The Shepherd’s Guide is a Christian’s alternative of the Yellow Pages. Their 17th Annual Edition was recently released to the general public. It is a free publication. In its pages you will see business advertisements, local church listings, and Bible bookstores in the Kansas City station.
This particular edition is 73 pages in length making it easy to go through and portable enough to carry with you. The majority of the business and service listings are owned by Christians. In order to easily identify them a shepherd and sheep icon can be seen on the bottom right hand corner of their ad. I find that to be refreshing because I like to patronize those who are like-minded spiritually.
Highlights of the book include a letter from the publishers, directory coverage, a table of contents, special listing pages, inspirational messages and community interest pages. The guide is laid out in a simple and easy to follow format.
As you notice at the individual ads you note that they are smart in appearance with all vital and necessary information that you need to know as well as contact information.
A sample of listings include services for abortion alternatives, accounting, dentists, plumbing, electricians, moving/delivery, real estate, jewelers and ophthalmologists.
Intertwined in the book is a listing of different church denominations with phone numbers and website if available. If you’re modern in the area and looking for a place of worship this is a chockfull of genuine information.
The ads range in size from business card to full page. Some of the businesses also have a Bible verse included in their advertisement.
On the back of the book is a pudgy page ad from Bott Radio Network with a listing of different broadcasts that can be heard on 92.3 Kansas City FM; 760 Kansas City AM and 88.9 Independence FM.
I have utilized the services of several vendors listed in this book in the past, one just about 2 months ago. All those who I have patronized have been professional in work performed or service rendered. I have recommended them to people in the past and will continue to do so.
The publishers for this edition are Jim and Connie Johnson. If you would like to receive free copies for your church, business, ministry or school contact them by calling 816-630-2151 or 1-800-786-1877. They are located at 3156 W. 157th St in Excelsior Springs, MO 64024. If you prefer to email the address is kc@shepherdsguide.com and the website is www.shepherdsguide.com.
Perhaps you are looking for a venue in which to advertise your business. The Shepherd’s Guide would be a great place to start.
I will continue to whole-heartedly support the businesses as opportunities and the need for them arise. I am grateful to have this guide as an excellent source of reference.
